The original house, built in 1965, already had a sizable footprint—with four bedrooms and two baths on a single floor. But the couple dreamed of a two-story home that would offer more privacy and personal space with four bedrooms for the family upstairs. A guest bedroom on the first floor would allow them to welcome friends and family for extended visits. They also wanted a spacious kitchen and an open floor plan on the main level, creating an inviting and functional space for daily life and hosting gatherings. Along with the interior improvements, they took the opportunity to give the exterior of the home a beautiful update, blending traditional elements with contemporary design.
This house has a modern farmhouse architectural style characterized by clean lines, a neutral color palette and a balanced symmetry. The gabled roof, black-framed windows, and stone accents on the lower half of the home contribute to the modern appeal, while the board and batten siding gives it a classic, rustic feel.
